As you can see, this type of Marketing Listings in Iowa can be very beneficial to the Seller to get more exposure for their home for sale, but also is a good tool for the buyer as they can get a better feel for the home rather than just pictures.
Curious if this trend will continue in the future in this area....my guess is yes and probably in the very near future.
Des Moines Real Estate in 2011
Well 2011 has been quite the year for Des Moines Real Estate. We ended the year with about 479 homes that accepted offers in the month of December, which was up about 90 homes from previous years in 2009 and 2010. The year end as a whole with a little over 8300 homes selling for the year, and an average of about 5265 Homes for Sale in Des Moines and surrounding areas on the market each month.
Even though the Des Moines, IA economy might not be as down as some surrounding states, the residents are still feeling the effects of it in the housing market. The rise of Short Sales in Iowa should continue to be an issue that many are going to be dealing with, but it appears that many banks are doing their best to expedite this process. Many Des Moines Short Sales are being processed in 1-3 months, which in prior months has been as long as 6-12 months. Regardless, we should still see quite a few more Foreclosures in Des Moines, but the number could be scaled back from recent years with home owners being more informed and educated on the Short Sale procedures and options.
